shift work and sleep disorders

now that i work deep nights, 7p-7a, it is really wrecking havoc on my system. first my body doesnt know when to sleep, get up, eat, work, or what. i only work 2 or 3 days in a row and its just enough to mess me up. i'm trying to figure out how to keep my sleep pattern not quite so messed up. my dr has prescribe the new sleep medication rozerem. i have not tried it yet but i'll let ya know. i've been taking melatonin which has helped in the past but since i have to sleep at certain times it is not working. it takes too long to fall asleep.

next its the medication i take. i have morning meds and night meds. so which do i take and when? i'm still figuring it out. i will talk to my pharmacist about it and see if he has any suggestions. '

the job i do i just sit for 12 hours. i can get up occasionally but not for long as i'm a dispatcher. i do try to do stretches, keep my feet up when possible things like that. i just have to figure out what i can snack on thats not too fattening. i also have to decide when i need to exercise. guess i'll figure that all out later too. i'll keep ya posted on it all though, thanks again, until next time
